You’ll play as a young Cereza as she ventures into a dark spooky forest. The book contains a playable story in a unique art style - a secret Bayonetta 3 chapter. Once fully unlocked, you can view the Old Picture Book by selecting it on the Chapter Select screen. Old Picture Book Unlockable - Bayonetta 3 Secret Chapter Hover over it and then use “forward, R, R” to zip back safely to the spire. Turn toward the spire again, and you’ll see the key floating in midair slightly below you. You’ll want to stand on the platform to cause it to crumble. The key is actually inside the second rocky platform that’s floating ahead. Make your way across the crumbling areas and climb to the top of the spire-this is also where the Umbran Tears of Blood Crow is perched. The key is located next to the spire at the far end of the map. You’ll want to start the chapter in Ginnungagap. The Red Key is located in Chapter 13 - Kingdom of One. Once at the top, you’ll find the key floating in the center of the area. You should then be able to climb straight up the wall. Once near the top, use Winder to zip over to the wall. Bayonetta won’t be able to stand on it, but she can still get near the top. Equip the yo-yo double jump onto the stalagmite on the left side. You need to have unlocked the Winder skill for the Yo-Yo. Before crossing the final stretch of land that leads to the portal, turn to look at the mountain. The lotus field is at the top of the central mountain. The key is located in the same spot where you earn the Bewitchment: “Enter the lotus field in Ginnungagp.” You’ll need to start from the beginning of the chapter and reach Ginnungagap, the Chaotic Rift. The Green Key is located in Chapter 4 - Worlds Apart. In the area where Verse 4 took place, walk behind the stalagmites to see the bright blue key floating next to them. The key can be found immediately after completing Verse 4. When selecting the chapter, choose to start at Ginnungagap. The Blue Key is located in Chapter 1 - Scrambling for Answers. Once on the Chapter Select screen, you’ll see the key do its thing.ĭon’t worry about the message saying that you’ll lose your progress anything you collect will stay with you. Then, choose to return to the Chapter Select screen. After getting the key, you can press + at any time to access the menu. You do not have to complete the entire chapter though. They’re located in Ginnungagap, across three separate chapters. You’ll need to revisit previous chapters to find the keys. The keys, however, do not show up until after you’ve completed the main story.Īfter you’ve rolled credits, the keys will spawn in their respective locations. There are three keys hidden in the game that Bayonetta will need to collect to open the book. Locks usually require a key, and these are no different. If you examine the Old Picture Book in the Items Menu, you’ll notice that the description mentions the book’s three unique locks. However, if you’d like to add the old worn book to Viola’s decorations, feel free it’ll hang out on the shelf below the map. If you’re being frugal with your Halos, you can certainly pass on buying the book until after you’ve completed the main story. It’s available right after completing Chapter 1 - Scrambling for Answers and costs 4100 Halos. As we mentioned at the beginning of this page, the Old Picture Book is one of the first of Rodin’s Treasures that you can purchase at the Gates of Hell.
